Your work. Your choices.
Privacy at WeMotion.
Your films stay on your Mac. We collect a small amount of information to provide downloads, understand whether WeMotion is useful, and send the emails you ask for.

Your privacy settings
Website statistics are optional. You can turn them off at any time without affecting your download.
Who is responsible
WeMotion is operated by Simon Berg. For questions, access to your information, or a deletion request, email hello@wemotion.ai.
Downloading and your WeMotion account
The Mac installer is available without entering an email on the website. On first launch, a free WeMotion account is required. We send a one-time code to verify your email, then create or connect your account. We store your verified email, account dates, and installation-linked sign-in credentials. Your Claude account stays separate.
After verification, your account is remembered securely on your Mac so local editing can work offline. Signing out removes the account from that Mac; your local films remain. Older download requests and emailed links may still have records including email, request time, version, and campaign information. A download request is not proof of a completed download or installation.
Our hosting and delivery providers process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to serve the website, deliver files, prevent abuse, and keep the service running. We do not use device fingerprinting to connect a website visit to your Mac.
Website statistics
We count page views and download-button clicks to improve the website. We store daily totals by page and broad source (direct, search, social, email, internal, or other). Campaign tags in links, such as ref or utm_source, are counted in those same aggregate totals as a channel name from a fixed list. These counters contain no visitor identifier, email, IP address, browsing history, or individual event record. We do not link these totals to download emails or app accounts.
You can turn these statistics off using Manage website statistics above. The Privacy & settings footer link always brings you back here. We also respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal and previous choices to decline analytics. We remember only your preference on your device. Counts represent page views and clicks, not unique people, and may include automated traffic.
Earlier versions of the site recorded optional visits using a random identifier only after permission. New visits no longer use that identifier; older consented records expire within 90 days.
Email is your choice
We send the sign-in codes you request to access your account. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing. Existing WeMotion updates and The AI Brief subscriptions retain their separate confirmation and unsubscribe choices.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us. Unsubscribing stops the relevant marketing messages; it does not automatically delete your download record. We keep preference and suppression records so we can respect your choices.
App usage information
New installs of WeMotion 0.1.12 and later enable basic usage sharing by default. Existing off choices stay off. You can turn sharing off at any time in WeMotion → Settings; this stops future sharing and clears unsent activity. Earlier app versions keep their existing opt-in behavior.
When enabled, usage information can include a random installation identifier, app and operating system version, and milestones such as opening the app, connecting Claude, creating a first project, or completing an export. This helps us find confusing steps and improve the product. When linked to your verified email, it can also help us tailor tips if you separately subscribe to emails.
Usage analytics excludes your prompts, conversations, films, exported media, project names, file paths, Claude credentials, and API keys. With usage sharing enabled, activity after sign-in is linked to your verified WeMotion email. You can switch sharing off in Settings without losing access to the app. No usage events are sent before account verification in version 1.1.0 and later.
App updates
The Mac app checks WeMotion for newer signed releases. These service requests include the installed app version and the technical information needed to deliver an update, such as your IP address. They do not send prompts, films, or an analytics identifier. Normal updates are optional; a critical release may require an update before your next session. Update checks work independently of optional analytics.
Your films and Claude
Projects and exports are files on your Mac. When you ask Motion to work with you, the messages and project information needed for that request go to Anthropic under your own Claude account or API key and the applicable Anthropic terms. Web searches and sites you ask Motion to open also make requests to those services.
We do not collect your film content through our download or usage analytics. There is no automatic upload of your projects to a WeMotion cloud library.
Storage, service providers, and retention
We use Vercel for hosting and file delivery, Supabase for contact and analytics storage, and Resend for email delivery. They process the information needed to provide those services. We do not sell your email address or film content.
Raw optional website and app usage events are retained for up to 90 days. Aggregate statistics may be retained longer. Contact, download-request, and preference records are kept while needed to provide the service or honor your choices. If you request deletion, we will review and handle it, subject to records we need to retain for security or legal reasons.
Download links may carry limited campaign information between our own pages. We do not use advertising pixels or session replay in this download flow.
Your choices and questions
You can decline marketing, turn off optional usage sharing in versions that offer it, and ask for access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@wemotion.ai. Please use the address connected with your request so we can verify it belongs to you.
We will update this notice when the way WeMotion handles information changes.
